| Program Overview: |
The objective of the ESL Writing/Reading & Grammar class is for students to continue to improve their academic writing skills, reading comprehension, vocabulary and critical thinking skills in English. Students will learn to write an organized, elaborated response to a written prompt. The focus will move from simple argumentative and comparison/contrast essays to essays on controversial issues with developed arguments on concrete and abstract topics. In reading, student s will continue to read short authentic non-fiction articles, but will also do extensive reading with longer works of fiction such as novels and short stories. |
| Target Audience: | Undergraduate or graduate students with an interest in English and business programs. |
| Prerequisites: | Demonstrated English proficiency at the ESL Intermediate level |
| Requirements: | Students must pass the MIM ESL exam requirements to attain the MIM ESL certification. |

- Foreign students that have received their Bachelor Degrees or enrolled in bachelor programs and are looking to prepare for Business Certificate.
- Domestic students that have received their Bachelor Degrees or enrolled in bachelor programs and are looking to improve the knowledge in the area of business, finance, project management, e-business.
